Christmas Tree Lighting

The City of Northwest Recreation Committee is hosting a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on Saturday, December 10 from 5 – 6 p.m. at 4404 Northwest Road, Northwest, NC 28451, the home of Mr. Haywood Miller. In addition to lighting the tree, the event will feature caroling by the combined Community Choir, Storytime with Mrs. Claus, as well as cookies and hot chocolate.

Deck the Yards

The second annual Christmas decorating contest “Deck the Yards” is set to happen during December.

  • Entry Application Period: open until12/9/2022
  • Judging Period: 12/15/2022 – 12/16/2022
  • Winners Announced: Tuesday, 12/20/2022, at the City Council Meeting, 4889 Vernon Rd. Northwest, NC 28451
