City of Northwest Rescinds State of Emergency

The City of Northwest rescinded its Declaration of a State of Emergency at 9 a.m. on August 6. The State of Emergency was declared as Tropical Storm, and later, Hurricane Isaias approached the coast. Isaias made landfall on August 4 as a Category 1 Hurricane at Ocean Isle Beach causing wind damage and flooding, leaving much of Brunswick County without power.
