Mayor Sheila Grady Sheila D. Grady has been a member of the Northwest City Council for six years. As a retired educator, she transitioned into municipal government equipped with exceptional leadership skills and thirty-five plus years of service-oriented experience.

Councilwoman Grady presently serves as mayor pro tem, finance liaison, and Cape Fear Council of Government (COG) liaison. She also works with the emergency management, grant funding, and chairs the Recreation  Committee. While embracing change, economic growth and development, Councilwoman Grady is dedicated to maintaining the City of Northwest as a safe thriving community and prime location for family living
